The standard plan includes more than enough resources for typical SME websites, but the upgrades may be useful if you have any particularly resource-intensive systems built into your site. No, we don't charge any fees for the use of our Certified Green Website badge or the creation and maintenance of your personalised, data-driven certification page on our site.

We want to remove as much friction as possible from your journey towards achieving an "A" website carbon rating, so we don't charge anything for our onboarding and optimisation work or software costs.

We simply absorb the work as part of our standard pricing for our Green Hosting plan, which is £24+VAT per month and can be cancelled at any time, with no minimum commitment or contracts.

Our pricing is generally in the mid-range of the market. We're a full time team of specialists, so we're more expensive than hiring an individual freelancer. However, our fees are significantly lower and more affordable than big agencies. We focus on helping relatively small businesses who are trying to do good for the world, rather than pitching for huge contracts with famous brands.

The pricing for your project will depend on the number of pages and complexity of features required. We will offer you a fixed-price quote once we've discussed your brief and the project scope is clear.

We never charge retrospectively by the hour or day for our work, as we feel this would create a conflict of interest which incentivises us to take longer than we should. Instead, we offer fixed, up-front and no-obligation quotes before starting work. We keep to our word until the job is completed, even if it takes us longer than we anticipated (as long as the scope of work doesn't materially change).

For design & development work, if the project is expected to run for longer than 1 month we will split the total project fee into 3 monthly instalments. If the project is expected to be completed in less than 1 month, we will instead issue a 50% deposit invoice to be paid up-front when we begin work, with the remaining 50% balance to be paid when the website launches. For our monthly recurring hosting and maintenance options, billing begins at the time the website launches. We accept all major debit and credit cards including MasterCard, Visa and American Express, or direct bank transfers. We provide full invoices and VAT receipts.
