The Social Justice Charter is a nonprofit initiative spearheaded by Future Planet, Heart of the City and JustOne. Signatories to the charter agree to a set of commitments which combat the many symptoms of social injustice through meaningful change and help build fairer systems for society.
We were asked to design and build a website for the charter, as part of the initiative’s launch. The key goals were to explain the purpose and function of the Charter, showcase the governing committees and signatories, and provide access to a set of resources for signatories to use.
We created a crisp, eye-catching site which includes a bespoke resource directory that can be filtered, sorted and searched to help people discover resources across each of the 6 commitment categories. By avoiding unnecessary use of images and placing video behind a button rather than embedding directly on the page, this site achieves a particularly strong result in terms of carbon emission minimisation, scoring the top rating of A+ at websitecarbon.com
