Their goal was to simplify and clarify their offer, with a ‘less is more’ approach – working with fewer, more courageous, compassionate, curious, and committed leaders. In order to achieve this, they wanted to revamp, consolidate and evolve their website, with engaging and conversion-focused content which would help to generate more enquiries.
We began the process by restructuring and developing the website’s copy. We consolidated the content that had been spread throughout several pages of the old site into a single homepage, which leads the visitor in a very clear and deliberate way through the journey of understanding how UK for Good can help, and what to do next in order to get started. We also recommended introducing “A letter from our founder” – in order to help capture the deeply human and emotional purpose of the business.
Next, we took on board some visual references, ideas and assets that they had used for recent blog posts, and developed a fresh and polished visual identity for the new site.
The revamped website’s homepage is now estimated to be cleaner than 93% of other websites tested globally, and achieves the coveted A+ website carbon rating – with an emissions reduction of 86% compared to before.
This carbon result was achieved despite the new site now being much more content-rich and visually appealing than the old D-rated Squarespace site, showing that sustainability doesn’t have to be achieved at the expense of aesthetics.
The volume of enquiries received through the website has substantially increased since launch. The site has also retained its #1 organic rankings in search engines for relevant keywords such as “B Corp Consultancy”, with visitor traffic redirected gracefully from the older pages on the site to the revamped homepage instead.
